Authenticity Guarantee
Every item sold by ReLux Consignment is guaranteed authentic. Not "we think it's real" - guaranteed.
How we authenticate
We don't rely on our own eye alone. Pieces are verified through established third-party authentication services — Entrupy and Real Authentication — before they are listed.
Entrupy uses microscopic imaging of the material and stitching, compared against a reference database of genuine examples, to produce an independent verdict on a piece. Real Authentication puts an item in front of expert authenticators who specialise in the particular brand. Both are independent of us, which is the point: our opinion is not the last word on whether something is genuine.
What we show you
Every listing includes photographs of the brand label, the composition and care labels, and the hardware. We photograph the details that matter for verification rather than shooting around them, so you can look at the same evidence we did.
Condition
Everything we sell is in like-new or excellent preloved condition. Some pieces still carry their original tags, and we say so.
As a rare exception we will take on a piece with a minor flaw. When we do, that flaw is photographed and shown in the listing images. We do not hide marks, and we do not shoot around them. If a dress has a mark, you will see the mark before you buy.
Returns
We do not accept returns for change of mind. Every piece is one of one, extensively photographed, measured and honestly described — flaws included — so that you can decide with full information before you buy.
Please ask before you purchase, not after. If you are unsure about fit, condition or any detail of a piece, message us and we will measure it again, photograph it again, or answer whatever you need. We would far rather spend ten minutes on a question than have a piece come back.
This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law, which apply to every purchase and cannot be excluded. If an item arrives and is not as we described it, or if a question ever arises about its authenticity, contact us. That is not something we will argue about.
Why this matters
The preloved luxury market has a counterfeit problem, and the higher the price the more careful you should be. Anyone can write "100% authentic" on a listing. What matters is whether the seller can tell you how they know — which service, which checks, and what they will do if they get it wrong.
If you have a question about a specific piece before you buy, get in touch. We would rather answer it than have you wonder.
